English in my life

Hello everyone! Today I will talk about my experience learning english at university.  First of all, I should start saying that I decided to take the english class and not exempt myself of it because I believed that my english was a bit rusty, and I thought that refreshing my knowledge and start practicing my oral interaction would help me improve my habilities. I think that the english of the university is pretty nice in order to give us the basic habilities we need to develop ourselfs in the academic world. I also believe that the use of blogs helps us to improve our writing habilities about differents subjects.  I believe that the aspects of my english that need to be improved are my pronunciation, my use of vocabulary and my grammar, since I commit mistakess very often in those topics. I think I will improve that by starting to speak with other people, maybe natives of the english languaje, and by watching movies without subtitles.  I use english very much outside the cla

My study programme

Hello everyone, today I'mm gonna talk the changes I'd make to my study programme. Since I'm studying psychology in Universidad de Chile, I would start by changing the currículum of the programme, and turn it into a more practical curriculum, since the current curriculum do not prepare us for the jobs that we want to work in. Every subject is so theoretical and we don't know how to present ourselfs when we are face to face with the people we're gonna work with, we don't know how and what to do as psychologist. For that reason, I believe that the curriculum should aim for preparing us to put into practice the things that we learn, and not just keep them in the theory. Also, I'd make changes to the subjects teached in the curriculum, and eliminate the one's that do not help us to grow up as good psychologists, as, for example, Historia Social de Chile. Summer 2018

Hello everyone! Today I'm gonna write about my plans for vacation this summer. I would like to go the beach, and I believe I'm going to go to El Tabo, since I have a cabin there, and I also think that my family and I are going to travel outside Chile if we find a nice offer. I don't truly know where exactly does my mom want to go, but she told us about the idea along the year, so I believe that, in any case, we are going somewhere new, maybe outside Chile, maybe inside Chile, but the travel goes. I would like to be with my childhood's friends from the beach, because we all share the community where our cabins are, and therefore we've known each other since we were kids. In the cabin's complex, we have a lot of activities along summer, like sports competitions, bingos, movie nights, and many other activities that take place in the cafeteria everyday at 22:00, and I'm planning to participate in every sport activity, specially the football championship and

Animals

Hello everyone! Today I'm gonna talk about animals. I want to start by telling you which animal I'd like to have as a pet, and I'm pretty sure I'm ok with the ones that I have now, cats and dogs. I have 3 cats and 2 dogs, and I love them all. I like having dogs and cats as pets because they are always near you and getting your atention (specially dogs), and you can play with them and pet them. I've always had dogs and cats as pets so I don't really know how is life without them. I'd not like to have exotic pets such as snakes, spiders or the classical "exotic pets", but I think it won't bother me having  (if there's any chance) exotic pets that are somehow "cousins" of cats and dogs, such as foxes or similar, but always a pet that can be indoors and it's not dangerous. Postgraduate studies

Hello everyone! Today I am gonna write about some postgraduate studies I think I will take in the future. Since I want to work in the justice system as a forensic psychologist, I must have postgraduate studies that speciallice in forensic psychology. This is the main reason to take the course, because graduating from Universidad de Chile as a general psychologist just isn't enough, I need to speciallice. I would like to study forensic evaluation subjects, and evaluation on children and adults. I would like to study in Chile, since the knowledge I need to learn must be in this speciffic context and in this particular justice system. Also, I would like to have presential classes, I do not like having online or distance learning classes, because I believe the best way to learn is face to face with someone who can teach you things. Forensic psychology

Hello everyone! Today I’ll be talking about the job I want to work in. I think I’d like to work as a psychologist, because there’re many areas where you can work, such as mental health, communitary, in the justice system, among others. Personally, I’m in between mental health or forensic psychology, but I’m not really sure which one I prefer. I’ll talk about forensic psychology because I feel it’s the closest to me, and the one where I can apply most of my knowledge. I imagine that job as doing evaluations of criminals and situations in family subjects, and, maybe, working as a profiler in a police department, like PDI or Carabineros. I think sometimes I’ll work indoor, working in an office or a place where I’ll be interviewing people, and in other times I’ll work outdoor, like when analizing crimes scenes or stuff like that. I won’t like to travel very much in my work, since I need to be in the country for whenever the tribunals call me, and that’s not compatible with traveling.

Pop Punk

Hello everyone! Today I'm gonna write about pop punk, my favorite kind of music. Well, I also like punk rock and pretty much every kind of rock music, but my favorite one is pop punk. This genre has pretty famous bands like Green Day, Blink-182, Fall out boy, among others. I think I started listening to pop punk in 8th grade, when Cristóbal, a school's friend, showed me Green Day. Since that day I started listening to Green Day and soon I started to listen to Blink-182 (since they're pretty connected, for example, by making the pop disaster tour in 2002) and therefore I went deeper on the pop punk music culture. The next bands I started to know and listen to were Fall out boy, Good Charlotte, Sum 41 and Simple plan. My favorite pop punk band is Green day, competing closely with Blink-182, but since Blink has separated two times, and now has another guitarist and singer, Green Day wins the 1st place.
